The Scalable Informatics Family

As part of our corporate culture, we maintain a very family-friendly workplace. Scalable Informatics is well aware that family obligations can sometimes conflict with work obligations, but that they are both equally important to maintaining personal wellbeing. To help mitigate these issues, we have set up systems whereby members of our team can work from home if the need arises, complete with full data and phone service. Additionally, we have taken steps to make our workplace child-friendly for those times when our children need to accompany us to the office.   Our family-first approach enables our team to focus upon what is important, when it is important. 

Scalable Informatics Sustainability

We are committed to reducing our impact on the environment as much as possible. To accomplish this goal, we have set up several operating procedures:

• We operate as a "paperless" office as much as is feasible
• We utilize products from companies committed to producing systems that reduce power consumption
• We utilize green products whenever possible within the project's performance requirements
• We ship our hard drives with re-usable foam inserts and offer a no-impact reward if the customer returns them (at our expense)
• We utilize local vendors whenever possible
• We allow our team to telecommute whenever appropriate
• We utilize a local recycling company to minimize the travel time of our paper, cardboard, and plastics

We focus our efforts on sustainability where it can make a positive impact upon our environment. While we are a small entity, and our efforts may not be world changing in scope, we encourage all companies and organizations to take reasonable steps and make reasonable choices with respect to these goals.

Scalable Informatics in the Community

Scalable Informatics works with local and regional organizations, including Canton Michigan Chamber of Commerce, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, as well as contributing time/resources to schools and other organizations that benefit our wider community. We encourage our team to be active in ways in which they are comfortable contributing to the communities. We provide time off and flexible schedules for people involved in projects that are beneficial and important to the community.

Our commitment to these ideals help us maintain a healthy and positive work environment, contribute to increasing our productivity, and help further our financial goals. We believe that a happy and healthy team is a strong team.
